Description
The basic meaning behind this piece is a man who wants to commit suicide so he just jumps (pretty basic meaning), hence he doesn't have a screaming face when falling and he has a peaceful one.
The model for this piece just happens to be my teacher because he just happened to fit the part. This piece was difficult to photograph for a reference because I had to get the sensation of my teacher falling without him actually falling.
The homework assignment for my AP Art class was foreshortening and I also wanted to incorporate my concentration (human emotion through portraiture) into this piece.
Done in HB. 2B, 4B and 8B graphite pencil and white pencil.
Done on 16in X 14in tinted blue paper.
